Golden Sun Distribution
An authorized content distribution system for publishing creator-owned media to the creator’s own connected platforms.
Purpose of Golden Sun Distribution
The purpose of Golden Sun Distribution is to let the Golden Sun studio owner upload and schedule video, audio and image content that the studio has produced and owns — teaching clips, talks, recordings and related media — to the owner’s own connected platform accounts, including the Golden Sun YouTube channel. A studio operator selects a finished media file, chooses one of the studio’s own destinations, and schedules it. At the scheduled time Golden Sun Distribution uploads that file to the destination account the studio owner has explicitly connected and records the resulting link. Nothing is published that the owner has not selected.
Who can use it
Access is limited to the Golden Sun studio owner and the small number of operators the owner authorizes. It is not a consumer product, there is no public sign-up, and it does not act on behalf of anyone other than the account owner who granted access.
What data it accesses
- Media files the studio owner has produced and chosen to publish.
- The titles, descriptions and tags the owner writes for those files.
- Permission to upload to the owner’s own connected platform accounts, granted by the owner and revocable by the owner at any time.
It does not read subscriber lists, viewer identities, comments, analytics audiences or any other person’s data.
Google API permissions
The YouTube integration requests a single scope, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload, which is the minimum required to publish the owner’s own videos. Full details are on the OAuth application details page.
